what i noticed over time is that using 16000 sample blocksize for reencoding the original flac files with window customization is really not the way the flac concept works. in some sort of way the idea of permuteing something over some amount of smaller part you need expansion of the same sort of idea of the first type of expandding part. so i found out that when applying custom window signal functions to the encodings, i need to use 24000 sample blocksize to keep the customization inside the actual process of the actuall customization otherwise using the customization with the same amount of sample blocksize of the original wont actually expand the result in the order of the customization application. the reverse idea happens whereas the quality is noticeablly missing the actual trace of the customization.

here is a lateralus album by tool i ripped recently with FLAC customization using window parameters that were in place for a custom variation i chose myself to give a desired result. its a fresh rip and you can alter window values with different slider values over each conversion as you wish. its a good place to start realizing the intricacy of how flac conversion works for better quality.
