here is a sample of Tool - Lateralus, 44khz, 16 bit album i encoded with Monkeys Audio Insane Mode then reencoding with flac customization 16000 sample blocksize, 16 lpc, auto, 15, 15 with no added signal processing for both conversions sequentially.

the complexity in the signal is noticeable when listening with the sony walkman. with the .5 overlap i got a really deep and bassy signal. the sequent running up with the same function going on in 3 sequences gave me interesting results also. so now i have a good idea on padding things out for more complexity when high tukey p values are involved and moreso i need more listening to lead me into some conclusions on how low or high the p values really need to be. the gauss complexity needs more experimentation on my part too because i like anyone else want high quality simply because the sound needs its due measures.

here is a lateralus album by tool i ripped recently with FLAC customization using window parameters that were in place for a custom variation i chose myself to give a desired result. its a fresh rip and you can alter window values with different slider values over each conversion as you wish. its a good place to start realizing the intricacy of how flac conversion works for better quality.
