i looks like i had to fiddle around a little with the players equalizer to get the volume right on my last encoding with the previous setup. i pre-encoded original flac files with Creative Labs VOC format with some special signal processing funcions in the freac encoder. i set the first signal processing step with Sample Format Converter and put the setting to FLOAT 32 bit, and the second step for voc pre-setup with Sample Rate 44100. then i reencoded with flac with window setup from last post with Sample Rate to 96000. the sample rate converter sets the sample format to 24 bits so its not so bad. the equalizer setting on my player at all the values set up very close to the tippy top of the value bar and the sound volume turn out pretty amazing. the sample format with voc to 32 float allowed this sort of volume increase to the encoding so im not sure where that leaves me but it sure was a breath of fresh air after all my attempts but so much i am glad i have a new sony zx-507 player. its such a good thing to have right now in my life.
